Apply a bead of caulk to the felt and set the window in the caulk. Nail it to the sidewall or glue it if nailing isn t possible. Stop wood sidings at least 1 inch short of the bottom leg at step flashings and other roof flashings. Lift the bottom shingle and slip in the kickout flashing.
